Love
a few basic things about me:
i’m diane, and my friends call me ‘d’ or ‘dee’.
i’m currently studying media&communications/political science in the university of melbourne
my home country is singapore, but i love melbourne too (:
while i may complain a lot about singapore, the simple truth is that i love my home country. all my “complaints” are in the hope that we will further change and progress. what do i love about it? for the simple fact that it is home, i love the food, i love my friends and family (:

melbourne enchants me in a way that no other city can. part of the reason is perhaps the fact that i am an international student, and being a student is in fact a very interesting way to explore a city.
when i first arrive in a foreign land, the first thing which surges in my heart is a sense of excitement. yet when i return to melbourne after each semester break spent in singapore, a sense of familiarity permeates my senses. the irony though, is the fact that melbourne consistently manages to surprise me at every turn. from awesome cheap eats to delicious chinese food – and the best coffee – melbourne never fails to excite.

but besides my two favourite cities in the world, i love to sing, read and write. these are gifts that i believe God has given me, and without them my life would have been dramatically different.
i welcome any comments, and if you need to talk – simply drop me a comment with your email address. (:
all glory to God,
diane
